A new tote bag for Camille

Like I mentioned in my last blog post, my step-daughter's roommate requested a new bag.  When I saw her old bag, I couldn't get sewing fast enough - the poor girl was walking around with basically a rag!

I purchased Noodlehead's 241 Tote bag pattern a few years ago and have done two since then (you can see my first one here), so I knew this one would be perfect... and easy!

I chose a Carolyn Friedlander print from the Carkai collection for the exterior and strap and a gorgeous Kona for the pockets and lining (I think it's Kona Jamaica).

I'm happy to say that Camille absolutely loved her new bag and immediately transferred everything out of her old bag into this new one.

I was also quite pleased with the results and I'm now thinking I need to make one for myself!  I have some really nice Essex Linen in black that would be absolutely perfect for a 241 bag.  All I have to do now is choose an accent fabric for the lining and the exterior pockets!

  1. Great bag! I love the fabrics you chose. That blue really pops against the Carkai print!
