A few days ago, a friend of my sweetie's came over and mentioned he had a bunch of vintage jewelry and dishes to sell and was wondering if we would help him put the items on ebay. He inherited everything from his mother and most of it had belonged to his great-aunt. When this friend heard that I made quilts, he told my sweetie he had some "sewing stuff" he wouldn't mind getting rid of as well, if I was interested.
The next day, I came home from work and a huge box full of sewing notions was waiting for me. A lot of it I might never use, but this sewing box I absolutely love...
It's in perfect condition! And look at this on the inside...
Isn't it adorable?
Oh! And when my sweetie went to pick up this box at his friend's house, he saw what he described as "a super old Singer sewing machine in a huge and very heavy table." !!! I, of course, replied calmly "YOU MUST GET ME THAT MACHINE!" So hopefully, at some point this week, I will be the proud owner of a vintage Singer sewing machine.
Before I go, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Carrie Nelson. I won this month's prize for the Parade of Schnibbles and I was extremely excited about it! :-) My prize came in the mail today and it is fabulous...
A really big Thank You also goes to my wonderfully generous friend Karen who was the winner of this surprise pack originally. But since she had won before, she asked that another name be drawn. If it weren't for Karen, this great prize would not be mine... so thank you again Karen.
I hope you are having a fabulous week!

Aw, you didn't have to call that part out! Wow, a F 1/8 bundle rather than the layer cake. How wonderful. I am looking forward to seeing what you make with this.
