St-Patrick's Day Quilt Finish

I'm not Irish and I don't really celebrate St-Patrick's Day, but as I was putting the final stitches in this quilt a couple of weeks ago, I thought it would be fun to share the finish during the St-Patrick weekend!

The pattern is called Color Crossing and it was designed by Stephanie Palmer for Quilt Theory. I purchased this pattern a while ago and I've been determined to use the patterns I own before purchasing any more so you'll be seeing more "older" patterns show up on this blog over the next few months.

The only reason I went with green for this quilt is because I had a lot of big green scraps as well as some yardage of Kona Mint which I used for the background. I even used up some of my green fat quarters for the backing so this is a 100% "from my stash" quilt finish.

For the quilting, I decided to go simple and easy - FMQ flowers which took no time at all! But look at that texture!

And this is finish number 1 off the FAL list for Q1 - not a super productive quarter, but I've got a couple more weeks so you never know! How are you doing with your Q1 list? Get those quilts finished and don't forget to link up in early April - you know there will be amazing prizes!

The details:
  • Pattern: Color Crossing by Stephanie Palmer
  • Size: 50" x 63"
  • Fabrics: Kona Mint for the background and various green scraps for the Xs
  • Thread: Pieced and quilted with Aurifil #2600 (Dove) in 50 wt
