1-Hour Basket

I'm back with another small finish!

You have probably seen dozens of these 1-hour baskets all over the Internet.  People use them to collect scraps and to store fat quarters.  Some moms even have them in their baby's room, on their changing table for easy retrieval of diapers, bum cream, etc.  These baskets are super versatile and let's face it - they are pretty darn cute and easy to make.

I've had the 1-hour basket on my to do list for months.  And finally, last weekend, I pulled out a couple of Amy Butler fat quarters and some Pellon fusible fleece and decided to make one for my sewing room.

I didn't time myself, but I'm pretty sure it didn't take me much longer than 1 hour.  It came together easily and was a lot of fun to make.  In fact, I'm pretty sure I'll be making more of these baskets very soon.

Have you made one of these?  If yes, what do you store in it?  Would love to know!

Linking up at Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish It Up Friday and at Quilt Matters for TGIFF.

Have a great weekend!

  1. I have not made one of these pretties yet, but undoubtedly it would be used to store fabric. I am pretty sure it would take me more than one hour...

  2. Lol I'd need at least 50 of those baskets to store my fat quarters! Cute basket--I've never made one because I already have a basket pattern I like, but yours looks great! Can't ever have too many places to store stuff!

  4. I made two and used them for Easter Baskets for my teen boys. They now use them to store phones and cords. Love the fabrics you used on yours :-)
