Over the last week, I was hoping to get started quilting my SuperNova top. Before I could get started on it though, I had to order more Aurifil thread. So while I waited for the thread to come in I pulled out the blocks I had pieced for the FMQ workshop I attended last Fall with the members of the Montreal Modern Quilt Guild.
I quilted all the blocks and put them together with a quilt-as-you-go piecing method MR taught us during the workshop. All that’s left to do is sew the binding on.

Linking up at Lee’s for WIP Wednesday.

Oh wow! Love the colors. And your stitches look so regular. I hope you'll bring it at the next meeting.
ReplyDeleteWow, the colors and the stitching are both fantastic. Do you have a long-arm machine?
ReplyDeleteThat's a great way to spend the hours waiting for your new thread to arrive! It looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilting! And I'd love to learn this quilt as you go technique -- the way it's bound together is really pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so great! I would love to do a workshop with M-R!
ReplyDeleteI've been contemplating if I need to try the quilt as you go method on a project that I have in the works... I don't quite trust myself to do it yet. Would really like to see more of this!
ReplyDeleteYour swirls are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou must show more of this quilt-it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI like the skinny piping/connector - really looks pretty against the gray.
