WIP Wednesday

I will be linking at Lee's for WIP Wednesday again this week, so here is a recap of what I'm currently working on.

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

First up is this month's Schnibble - Dulcinea.  I'm using Boho by Urban Chicks for Moda for this month's little quilt.  I love the colours of this collection.

I have more than half of the blocks pieced already so I'm pretty confident I'll have that one done in time for the parade on July 1.

I've also been playing with a paper-piecing pattern this week.  I've been wanting to make a circle of geese for months now, but before I cut into my gorgeous solids bundle, I wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing.  :-)  So this is 1/4 of a block.  It's all I've managed to get done so far.

And finally, I've been having fun with some cute purple fabric which I'm hoping will turn into a beautiful small quilt.  I'm not crazy about the quality of this fabric - I bought it at Wal-Mart and it's really not as nice as the fabric I purchase from quilt shops.  But I liked the colours so I decided to use it.

I was supposed to start quilting Dylan's quilt over the weekend, but I didn't have a big enough piece of fabric for the backing so I had to order some.  As soon as it arrives, I'll piece the backing, baste and get started.

I hope you are all having a great week and thank you for stopping by!

  2. I'm loving these projects! That flying geese block looks good! I'm glad you braved it. I totally hear you on the walmart fabric. I never buy fabric there anymore but I do like the patterns of some as I walk by.
