April Showers Bring May Flowers?

April is typically cool and rainy here in Quebec.  This year however, April was cold and snowy.  The temperature is on the rise now and we've had a few beautiful days, so the flowers are finally starting to grow in my garden.

I will be linking up at Lily's Quilts for Fresh Sewing Day so I prepared a little collage of the sewing I managed to get done this month.

April 2013 Collage

I finished Pandora's Box (my goal for a LYOF).  I pieced AND quilted the April Schnibbles - Hat Trick.  You can see pictures and get all the details on these 2 finishes on my 2013 Finishes page.  I finished my Granny Squares top (photos to come later this week).  I made 2 small flags to send to Boston (a Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild initiative).  And I pieced block 11 of the FQS Designer Mystery BOM ("County Fair" designed by Julie Comstock).

So now I look forward to May - it's my favourite month.  The flowers are blooming, the weather is usually sunny and warm and this year, I get to go to Dallas for a work-related conference.  I've never been to Dallas so I'm super excited.

And how was your April?

  1. Beautiful projects for April! We have had snow, too! Very strange spring. We are going to have snow again tomorrow. I can't remember having significant snow this late before. Have a great time in Dallas!
