WIP Wednesday

This week has been a very good week in the quilting department! In my "professional" life, I have to be super organised because I'm always juggling a million projects and I supervise a team of 5 eLearning developers. To keep myself on track, I use a tool called the Franklin Planner - I carry my planner pretty much everywhere!

In the past couple of years, I hadn't really been using my planner to organise my quilting projects. At the beginning of the year, when I started looking at what I wanted to accomplish in 2013, I decided I needed to start tracking and planning my quilting a little better so I have been using my planner.

It has done wonders for my productivity! This week:

I completed a mini quilt. You can read all about it and see pictures here.

I finished quilting Daisy Chain (photos will be posted as soon as the binding is sewn on).

I made 2 more Scrappy Trip blocks bringing my total to 14... Only 6 more to go!

I pieced rows 2 and 3 of Lori's Row Along.

And I pieced the last 2 blocks of Starburst. I now have to add the sashing and border and the top will be done! Yay!

What do you use to track and plan your projects?

Linking up at Lee's for WIP Wednesday!

  1. I love your starburst blocks! I keep a list on my phone of projects that I'm working on or want to complete and now I've added them on a board in my craft room. I like having the list handy on my phone, but I think it helps me to be able to see it when I walk in the room. Good luck with your goals for the year!

  4. Love your projects! I used a planner during my work life and have recently started using an app on my iPhone/iPad and agree that it really helps me stay on top of things. I also have a whiteboard to do list in my quilt room. I need lots of reminders as I'm easily distracted!

  5. I need to track my projects and quilt ideas. Do you just use a blank journal, or do you like a specific planner?

  7. Wow, you did get a lot done. When I read the list I thought "she must not have kids" but then I saw that you have plenty of them! So WOW!!! And I really like all your projects. Isn't the Starburst pattern just great!?!
