My Starburst Top is Finished!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  I had a great day today... my sweetie personally delivered some beautiful flowers to my work and took me out for lunch.  I'm so spoiled!  :-)

I'm also super excited because I finished piecing my Starburst top last night!  Yay!

I'm so happy with this top.  The lower left star doesn't pop as much as the others, but I don't think it matters very much.  Overall, I think there's lots of "pop" in that top!  :-)

I'm going to try to find a suitable backing for it tomorrow and start quilting this weekend.  I just have to decide how to quilt this baby now...  Any suggestions?  My FMQ just isn't as good as I would like it to be and I really don't want to ruin this one.

Linking up at Melissa's for the Starburst Quilt Along and at AmandaJean's for Finish It Up!

Have yourselves a great weekend!

  3. Way to go! It looks beautiful!

I am remaking one of my blocks right now. I sewed one of the geese backwards and didnt think it looked as good as the others.

  10. Gorgeous! I love a basic stipple, it suits every quilt. Otherwise, if I want to do something more fancy I trace a pattern onto tracing paper, quilt over it, then tear the paper away.
