A Mini Mosaic

I took the day off work today because I had some personal business to take care of, but once that was over, I went right to my sewing room.

I finished the second row of Lori's Row Along (I will post pictures soon), I made a few granny squares (yes, I know, I'm super late getting on those) and I decided to get started on a new project.

You might remember that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I had lots and lots of quilting books. Well, one of these books is Konda Luckau's Simply Charming Minis.

This afternoon, I thought it was time to make a mini from the book. The one I chose is Mosaic. I used scraps for the coloured squares and a fat quarter in a very light blue for the background. The binding is a darker blue.

The mini finishes at about 13" square so it is perfect for a mini wall quilt or small table topper.

I see many more of these cuties in my future... The book is full of fun minis and I love that they go together super fast!

And what have you been finishing up this week?

Linking up at Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish It Up!

Have a great weekend everyone!

  2. That is a pretty, fresh quilt. I'm not familiar with the book, but now I'm curious! I didn't plan on making a quilt today, but I did! I'll be sharing it maybe tomorrow.

  4. What does it matter if you're super late to get onto the granny squares? I haven't started any but I'm going to, one day, when I've made up the kits I bought first! You know, one day!
