Monthly Planning

January was a pretty good month for me.  My finishes this month:

  • 1 pillow
  • 2 open wide zipper pouches
  • 2 Schnibbles
  • 1 lap size quilt
You can see pictures of these finishes by clicking here.

I also got caught up with the Fat Quarter Shop Designer Mystery BOM, completed the 2010 FQS Designer Mystery BOM top, got started with the Starburst Quilt Along over at Happy Quilting and made 12 Scrappy Tripalong blocks.

In the end, I managed to get EVERYTHING done on my To Do List for this month.  How cool is that?  :-)

In February, my goals are:

  • Quilt Daisy Chains - I made this top a long time ago with mediocre quality strips in solids and a firefly print.  I can see that my piecing skills have gotten a lot better since this top was made - the seams in this quilt don't match up in a lot of places!  But I like the colours and it's perfect for my daughter's room in the city.  So this month, it is getting quilted.  In fact, I'm making this my ONE finish for A Lovely Year of Finishes.
  • Piece block 9 of the FQS Designer Mystery BOM.
  • Complete the Starburst top in time to participate in the linky party at the beginning of March.
  • Piece rows 1 to 4 of Lori's Row Along (yes - I'm super late getting on this one!).
  • Make 8 more Scrappy Tripalong blocks (for a total of 20)

And what do you have planned for this month?

  1. Wow you really got a lot accomplished in a month! Beautiful quilts. I don't really sew much-my big project is to finish a family history book that I've been working on the last few months.

  2. Great job getting stuff checked off your list! I need to work on my rows too. I've for 4 total done.

  3. Good morning! Thank you for joining the Monthly To-Do List Linky Party for February! Your January finishes are awesome! Anxiously waiting to see your Starburst quilt top! :)

  4. I love the colors and design for your Feb LYoF! Can't wait to see the final product.

  5. You had a very successful month! Congratulations! Here's to February ;)

  6. Wow! All those finishes? That's great. And your quilt is beautiful. I'm thinking if you can do all your finishes I should try a little harder on mine. Good luck with Feb's list.

  7. You got so much done last month! Congratulations! Good luck on your February goals!

  8. Wow alot of finishes. Congratulations. I found your blog through the monthly to do list.
I also found it easier to make lists. I found if I make a monthly list, break it down to weekly lists, then daily, I get alot more finished. Kathleen

  9. I love your daisy chain quilt! Good luck with all the finishes :)
