I finished another scrappy quilt! This is New Orleans Sidewalk designed by Linda Graham and published in Issue 39 of Make Modern.
This took a really long time to cut and piece but it was worth the extra time - I love this quilt! But because the cutting and piecing took so long, by the time I was ready to start quilting, I really wanted it to be done so I chose to stitch a large stipple in grey thread.
I love all the different shades of green with the Kona Ash. And the backing is a gorgeous and soft sheet in a teal. I forgot to take a picture of the back, but it really is wonderful!
I kept the binding simple and used Kona Ash.
The details:
- Pattern: New Orleans Sidewalk by Linda Graham (published in Issue 39 of Make Modern)
- Size: 75" x 83"
- Fabrics: Kona Ash and green fabric scraps from my stash
- Thread: Pieced and quilted with Aurifil #2600 (dove)
The piecing time seems very worth it; what a lovely finish!
