I seem to have been able to find some sense of balance between work, home and my need to sit at my sewing machine for a few hours every week. And as a result, I managed to finish another project last week.
Here is By Your Side.
Isn't she pretty? I love that I used scraps for the coloured blocks, I love all that negative space and I love the quilting I did on it.
I used binding scraps to finish her off - I started keeping all my left over binding and then stitching it together as I get enough for a baby quilt. So good to have binding all ready to go once the quilting is done.
I don't yet have a recipient for this quilt, but I'll add it to the pile of finishes ready to gift-wrap when a need comes up.

I love this one, Izzy! The colours are so fun and I love all that negative space - perfect for showing off your quilting :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful finish. I'm glad you are in a better balance and it is apparent that you have more time for quilting; hooray! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great finish. I love a boxy stipple.
