At its December meeting, the Montreal MQG always organizes a fun holiday party. Our members are encouraged to bring a treat to share, we have a fun swap and we give away prizes!
This year, I volunteered to make Pixie Baskets to hold the travel-size Bath & Body Works products we were raffling off.
These little baskets are so quick to make and use up scraps, which is definitely an added bonus for me!
I made a red one, a couple of yellow/orange ones, a grey one and purple one. The tabs are all twill tape I’ve had in my sewing room forever!
If you’re still looking for ideas for handmade items for the holidays, I would definitely recommend the Pixie Basket!
I will be linking up at Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish It Up Friday and at Powered by Quilting for TGIFF.
Super cute, Izzy! What lucky recipients ;)

ReplyDeleteThe pixie baskets are adorable! I've made a couple and had a blast picking the fabrics and whipping them up!
ReplyDeleteWow, yeah - super great product of scraps!
ReplyDeleteCute baskets! You did a great job on the fabric combinations, too. LOVE projects that are scrap-friendly!! Thanks for the recommendation.
ReplyDeleteThey're so cute. Looks like a great way to use up some of my mountain of batting scraps!
