All right, so I'm not super talented when it comes to original post titles!
I am super excited to be hosting the TGIFF linky party this week and for the occasion, I've been working day and night to get my Swoon all finished. (I haven't really worked all night, but did spend quite a bit of time on it over the last week.)
Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great and I didn't have any quilt holders on hand, but here are a couple of pictures.
The designer is obviously the wonderful Camille Roskelley and I used Lucy's Crab Shack to piece the blocks... Kona white as the background... And more Lucy's Crab Shack for the binding.
I quilted it with straight lines, about 1 1/4" apart, using painter's tape as my guide.
This finish has been in the works for a year people! I still can't believe she is finally done!
Have you finished anything recently? Wanna share? Go ahead and link up those wonderful finishes. Be sure to tour the other finishes and spread the comment love far and wide! Please include a link back to TGIFF (button in my sidebar).
Let's party!

Thanks for hosting TGIFF, Izzy. The Swoon quilt is lovely and I love your fabric choices. It is colourful, yet very soft. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteBravo pour tes lignes et tout le reste. C'est un motif tellement simple, mais qui prend tellement de temps. Et tellement répétitif. Un an, c'est long. Dire que j'ai un projet en cours depuis presque 2 ans, ça doit faire un an que je n'y ai pas touché. Je trouve toujours une excuse pour en faire passer un autre devant....
ReplyDeleteIt's so great! I adore your plaid binding and the quilting loks so good!
ReplyDeleteIt is so pretty! The colors are so pretty and I love the texture that the straight line quilting adds. Perfect binding choice too!
ReplyDeleteI love it!!! Greta work. I definitely vote that you post some more pics when you can get them, I'd love to see more.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous finish, Izzy! Your Swoon looks awesome in the Lucy's Crab Shack line and your quilting let's those blocks shine. (My own Swoon quilt still awaits quilting... a year after starting... ;o).

ReplyDeleteOh Izzy, this quilt is gorgeous! I love everything about it--the pattern, the fabrics, the quilting. Are you going to keep this quilt at your cottage? For some reason I think it looks like a quilt for a vacation home!
