My June Schnibble is all done!
I completed the piecing back in June and then the poor thing just sat there waiting for a back and some quilting. After finishing my Scrappy Trip a couple of weeks ago, I decided Dulcinea had waited long enough.
I wanted to use Dulcinea to practice my FMQ skills so went with designs I had just learned in Angela Walters' new Craftsy class.
It is definitely not perfect, but it looks darn good for a beginner! :-)
You can see a bit of the quilting in this picture of the back. And I often forget about the label, especially if the quilt won't be gifted, but this time, I thought a label would be a nice touch.
I will be linking up at Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish It Up Friday.
Have a fabulous weekend!
Izzy
lovely! your fmq work really makes it.
ReplyDeletePerfect! I love it, the quilting is a really nice bump. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic finish!! Do you recommend the FMQ class? I need to step my FMQing up a notch I think. Yours looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteYour quilting looks really good. I am trying my hand at FMQ recently, but I keep falling back into doing straight lines because I'm not very good at FMQ. I guess it really is one of those things that takes lots of practice. Good for you for trying out your new skills on your quilt.
ReplyDeleteThat's sweet - so much fun.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty and I love the multi-fabric sashing on the edges. Nice finish!
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty! Great finish.
ReplyDeleteYour quilting looks great and the quilt is lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your quilting!! It compliments the piecing of this quilt just perfectly!!
ReplyDeleteWow, look how far you have come with your quilting! This is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Izzy! I am so glad that you got this one finished... it is just too cute!
