I am sooooo happy to reveal my latest finish because this one has been a WIP for quite a while. I finished piecing the top in December 2011 and have basically been quilting it ever since. Last night, I finally put the binding on it and it is right now tumbling gently in the dryer! Yay!
Introducing... Two Percent!
This quilt is BIG (approx. 82 x 82) so I had a hard time taking a decent picture of it. It didn't help that it looked as though a huge thunderstorm was about to begin so I had to rush.
The fabric is Veranda by Amanda Murphy and the pattern is a big Schnibble designed by Carrie Nelson (from the book Another Bite of Schnibbles).
I quilted a bunch of different designs in the blocks, some stippling in the white areas and some wabbly lines in the border.
I finished it with a yellow binding from the Veranda collection.
This beauty will be living on my bed as soon as it's out of the dryer... :-)

ReplyDeleteI love everything about this quilt! Veranda is one of my favorite fabric lines and I love the design of that block. Your quilting is so wonderful. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful! I'll bet the quilting took as long as the piecing. I have the book with that pattern and it's nice to see it in another color scheme. Your picture turned out great by the way!

ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! Great job.
ReplyDeleteI love the border on this one. Adds so much to the quilt. I usually get lazy at this point and slap a solid piece on there. It really looks wonderful, glad you are keeping this for yourself.
ReplyDeleteTruly an amazing quilt. Like the Sassy QUilter, I think the pieced border gives it a great modern feel. And your dense stippling in the white background makes those colors just pop! You're going to wake up on the right side of the bed every morning with this happy quilt as the first thing you see!
ReplyDeleteWow! You did an amazing job quilting his giant!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! Love those fabrics and your quilting is gorgeous too.
