I finally finished the two minis I blogged about here.
The smallest one is now a pillow. It's about 14" square. And the biggest one is now a table topper for my daughter's computer desk. It measures about 17" square.
I tried to do some FMQ on the bigger quilt, but my machine just didn't want to cooperate. I think I have to accept the fact that my "city" machine is excellent at piecing and can do some pretty good straight line quilting, but it cannot handle FMQ. I'll have to stick to my plan of quilting my tops in the country on my bigger machine.
For this one, after lots of time spent ripping out my FMQ, I decided to go with some super simple stitching in the ditch around each block.
I'm very happy with these finishes and they look fabulous in my daughter's room.
Will be linking up at AmandaJean's for Finish It Up and at Marit's for TGIFF.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
