Back in June 2012, I started the Fat Quarter Shop's Designer Mystery BOM. A year and a half later, I'm happy to report that the quilt is all finished!
The fabric is Bonnie and Camille's Vintage Modern collection and a different designer created the pattern for each block. I didn't finish the quilt top at all like the instructions said, but I love the simple borders and the red binding.
I quilted it on my home machine with an all-over meander and now that it's washed and dried, I love the texture it gives the quilt.
This finished project is getting wrapped up today and will be delivered to my sister in law who celebrated her birthday yesterday.
Linking up at TGIFF and Finish It Up Friday. This is also my one finish for A Lovely Year of Finishes so will be linking up there as well. My goal-setting post is here.
Have a fabulous weekend!

This is fabulous Izzy! I really love how it turned out. Congrats on the finish!
ReplyDeleteThe blocks are great - my fav is the weather vane. And I love the geese and striped sashing you used to frame them! It is a beautiful quilt and looks great all crinkled up! Super job!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I just bought the twelve kits in the FQS sale. I'm going to get my bee to sew the blocks for me but I had to make a couple just to test them. :)
ReplyDeletelove it...I'm preparing to start a quilt soon, and I'm super nervous...I won't be able to sew anything else 'til it's done...and I have no idea how long it'll take me!

ReplyDeleteI always love red/aqua quilts, but when I saw you threw the green in there too I loved it even more. Congrats on a beautiful finish. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is lovely. I like quilts after they are washed and go crinkly.

ReplyDeleteI still need to finish my BOM also. Yours is quite an inspiration to get it done! It looks wonderful and I am so impressed with your quilting!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love the colors, and samplers are so fun! You made it your own, and finished, and that's what counts. :-)
